Peptides Made in USA: How to Check the Claim
"Made in USA", "ships from USA" and "US-based company" often sit side by side on peptide vendor sites. They are three different claims, and only one of them is about where the material was made.

Treat "peptides made in USA" as a claim to check, not a fact. Look for the exact wording, a business address, a ship-from location and the lab on the lot report, and keep the three apart. Of the 10 companies in our register, 4 make a manufacturing or origin statement on their own sites.
Three claims that get mixed up
- Made in USA
Where it was synthesized
A statement about manufacturing. The hardest claim for a buyer to check, and the one with a federal labeling rule behind it.
- Ships from USA
Where the parcel starts
A statement about dispatch. It shapes transit time and customs, not origin.
- US-based
Where the company is
A statement about the business. A US company can source material from anywhere.
What "Made in USA" means on a label
The Federal Trade Commission's Made in USA Labeling Rule (16 CFR Part 323) sets the bar for an unqualified claim. Final assembly or processing must happen in the US, all significant processing must happen in the US, and all or virtually all ingredients or components must be made and sourced in the US.
We do not judge whether any vendor meets that standard. We cannot see inside a supply chain. What we can do is show the exact wording each company uses and where it uses it.
How to check a vendor's US claim in seven steps
Find the exact wording
Made, synthesized, manufactured, filled, packaged, tested and shipped all mean different things. Note which verb the company uses, and where.
Look for a business address
Contact pages, terms and the site footer. A street address can be looked up; a city alone is weaker; a phone area code or a time zone proves nothing.
Read the shipping policy
A named ship-from state is a separate claim from manufacturing. Write it down separately.
Check the lab on the certificate of analysis
Note the lab's name and address. It tells you where testing happened. If the lab has a verification page, check the report number there.
Compare the return address
When an order arrives, the label shows where it really left from. If it does not match the shipping policy, ask the company why.
Check the governing law in the terms
Terms often name the state whose law applies. It is a weak signal on its own, but a useful cross-check.
Ask, and keep the answer
If the claim matters to your lab, email the company and ask where the lot was synthesized. A clear written answer is worth more than a banner.

A closer look: PSPeptides
PSPeptides says its peptides are synthesized in a cGMP-compliant facility in Temecula, California. Its About page describes a team based in New Jersey, and the certificates of analysis it publishes name North American Diagnostics, with an Austin, Texas address (checked Nov 5, 2026). So one company points to three states: one for making, one for its team and one for testing.
That is not a contradiction in itself. It is a good example of why the three claims need to be kept apart. The site does not show a street address or a ship-from state, so both are recorded as Not stated in our register.
Claims that prove nothing on their own
- "USA" or "American" in the company or domain name.
- A flag icon on the label or the checkout page.
- A US phone number or a time zone in the support hours.
- A US lab on the report, when the claim is about manufacturing.

Register questions
4 entries- 01Are any research peptides made in the USA?
- Some companies say so. In our register, 4 of 10 make a manufacturing or origin statement on their own sites. We cannot confirm any of them from outside, so we quote each statement and link to where it appears.
- 02Does a US lab on the certificate of analysis mean the peptide was made in the US?
- No. The lab address shows where the sample was tested. A lot can be made in one place, tested in another and shipped from a third.
- 03What does the FTC require for a Made in USA label?
- The FTC's Made in USA Labeling Rule (16 CFR Part 323) says a product labeled Made in the United States needs final assembly or processing in the US, all significant processing in the US, and all or virtually all ingredients or components made and sourced in the US.
- 04Is ships from USA the same as made in USA?
- No. Ships from USA only tells you where the parcel starts its trip. It is useful for transit time, but it says nothing about where the material was synthesized.
